Havana, Dec. 12 (AIN) This past Sunday, musicians, poets and people of all generations, gathered at Havana's Lennon Park to pay homage to the Beatles' former-member on the 25th anniversary of his death.
In a stage specially set up for the occasion, near the statue of John Lennon, prestigious Cuban musicians -such as troubadour Gerardo Alfonso, pianist Roberto Carcaces, singer Pedrito Calvo and others- sang for more than three hours songs recalling John Lennon's messages of peace.
Since early in the morning, more than a hundred people of all ages convened in the park for the concert. Along with the musicians, the audience sang old and more recent Beatles' songs such as "Give Peace a Chance," "Revolution," "Strawberry Fields Forever" and "Imagine" - which opened the concert.
