Havana, Dec. 12 (AIN) More than a hundred delegates attending a national conference of solidarity-with-Cuba committees in the Dominican Republic demanded the immediate release of five Cuban anti-terrorist fighters unjustly held in US prisons.
During the 15th National Conference of Cuban Solidarity Committees,
17 provincial groups reviewed this past year's solidarity-with-Cuba activities and projected a new plan of action for 2006, reported the Prensa Latina news agency.
The president of this campaign, Ivan Rodriguez, welcome the Cuban ambassador to the Dominican Republic, Omar Cordoba, who highlighted the successful work carried out in solidarity with the island, particularly the crushing defeat suffered by Washington in the UN General Assembly.
